Who 1:1 Coaching works best for:
1:1 Coaching is suitable for writers who are drafting and/or revising and who want editorial support throughout that process. It’s a great way to keep up the momentum of a Getting Started or Book Foundations program. 1:1 Coaching is available to returning clients who have already booked at least one coaching service in the past, though exceptions may be made.

What you’ll accomplish:
Writing can be tough, but it doesn’t have to be! 1:1 coaching allows us to set and complete milestone goals in your writing. Whatever goals matter to you (ex. finishing a revision, completing a draft), we’ll work together to make them happen. Through structured submissions, coaching calls, project management support and editorial reviews, you’ll make forward progress in your project. Like other coaching programs, 1:1 Coaching focuses on the three Ps: your project, your pages, and your process.

1:1 Programs Information:
1:1 programs and bundles are structured around coaching blocks, called deadlines.
A single deadline is made up of a submission of up to 20 pages, a short editorial note on those pages, and a 30 to 45-minute coaching call to discuss the submission. Writers can submit manuscript pages, an outline, exercises, or a mix of those, pending Alissa’s approval.
Clients may book one deadline, two, or bundle deadlines for a discount.
A deadline takes 2 working weeks to complete (depending on schedules). Submissions are always scheduled on Mondays by noon.

A general deadline schedule looks like this:
1st Monday: Submission from client to Alissa due by noon.
2nd Monday: Alissa returns annotated materials and editorial note to client.
Later that second week, the coaching call occurs.

1 deadline:
This service is intended to help returning writers troubleshoot a particular issue in their work, or for writers to add on additional deadlines beyond what’s included their coaching program.
