Looking to add on coaching services to enhance your experience, or for something you haven’t seen in other offered coaching programs? Check out the Ala Carte Coaching Services to find what you’re looking for.
Contact Alissa here to talk more about A la Carte Coaching.

One-off 45-minute Coaching Chat
Sometimes you just need to talk things through with someone who gets it.
The One-Off Coaching Chat is a single 45-minute call where you and Alissa can discuss anything related to your writing—whether it's a specific challenge in your manuscript, a question about your process, a crossroads in your project, or advice about your writing career and next steps.
This service is completely flexible. You can add it to a 1- or 2-deadline bundle for extra support, or book it as a standalone whenever you need it—no ongoing coaching required.
This service is available to any writer, whether you've worked with Alissa before or not. If you're feeling stuck, uncertain, or just need a sounding board, this is your chance to get clarity and move forward with confidence.
Investment:
$100.

Extra 45-minute Coaching Call for writers in a 1:1 coaching program
Sometimes you need a little more time to talk things through—and that's completely okay.
This service is for writers currently enrolled in a 1:1 Coaching program, Book Foundation program, or Preparing to Pitch program who want additional support beyond the calls already included in their package.
Whether you're working through a tricky revision challenge, need help staying on track between deadlines, or just want to check in and recalibrate, an extra call gives you the space to get the guidance you need exactly when you need it.

Investment:
$75.

Inside Outline Development
The Inside Outline is one of the most powerful tools a writer can use to shape their story—and this service helps you build one tailored to your project.
Developed by Jennie Nash as part of her Blueprint for a Book methodology, the Inside Outline tracks the relationship between plot and character throughout your narrative. It shows you not just what happens in your story, but why it matters to your characters and how each moment moves them (and your reader) forward.
This flexible, scene-by-scene scaffold works whether you're drafting, revising, or untangling a manuscript that's lost its way. It gives you clarity on your structure, helps you identify gaps or weak spots, and keeps you focused on what your story is really about.
If you're struggling to see the big picture or feel like your plot and characters aren't connecting the way they should, developing an Inside Outline can be exactly what you need to move forward with confidence.

Writers receive:
  • Inside Outline Workbook Instructions – Clear, step-by-step guidance adapted from Jennie Nash's methodology to help you build your outline from the ground up
  • Two submission rounds:
    • Submission 1: Your first draft of the Inside Outline
    • Submission 2: Your revised outline after incorporating feedback
  • Two rounds of detailed feedback – Each submission receives in-text commentary and an accompanying editorial note to help you strengthen the connection between plot and character
  • One 45-minute coaching call to discuss your Inside Outline, talk through any questions, and clarify how to use it as you move forward with your manuscript
By the end, you'll have a clear, functional outline that serves as your roadmap for drafting or revising with confidence.
Investment:
2-6 working weeks. $500.

Query or Synopsis Development
This service is for writers who have a completed, polished manuscript and are ready to start pitching—but don't need the full Preparing to Pitch program.
Maybe you've already researched agents or publishers and have your submission list ready. Maybe you just need help crafting a compelling query letter or synopsis that does your story justice. This focused service gives you exactly that—professional support on the specific pitch materials you need, without the extras.
It's a streamlined, targeted way to make sure your query or synopsis is as strong as your manuscript.

Writers receive:
  • Two rounds of revisions on either your query letter or your synopsis—each round includes detailed in-text commentary and a short editorial note to help you strengthen your pitch
  • Want help with both? You can book a second block of support to work on your query and your synopsis. Just let Alissa know during your consultation or when you enroll.
Investment:
For one document (query or synopsis): 2-4 working weeks. $350.
