This program works best for:
Writers who haven’t worked with Alissa before, or writers who haven’t worked with Alissa as a coach on their current project. Writers at any stage of the writing process can benefit from the Getting Started program. This is the stage at which most writers begin their coaching journey. If you’d like to get a sense as to what book coaching is like, this is a great place to start.

What you'll accomplish:
- Get clear on what you’re writing: a book, a story collection, an essay, or something else?
- Get clear on why you’re writing, and why your project matters
- Receive written feedback on a section of your manuscript
- Examine your writing habits to find what works for you
- Consider the full scope of your project
- Make a plan for what comes next to further your writing goals
The program includes:
- a Client Questionnaire to learn more about your writing process
- one submission of up to 20 pages of your manuscript with light in-text commentary
- submission of either one Mini Blueprint for a Book worksheet
One project outline/summary, with light in-text commentary
- a short editorial note that covers all parts of your submission
- one 45-minute coaching call to discuss your submission and what comes next

1-3 working weeks. $250.
