In addition to coaching, Alissa offers editorial manuscript evaluations on a limited basis for writers who want professional feedback on a completed or nearly complete draft.
Alissa's editorial approach is developmental—focused on the big picture elements like structure, character, pacing, and narrative clarity—with light copy-editing as needed to support flow and readability.
Each manuscript review includes detailed in-text commentary throughout your pages and a comprehensive editorial note that highlights what's working, what could be stronger, and how to move forward with revision.

Short Manuscript Evaluation
These evaluations are for writers of shorter manuscripts (up to 20 pages) which require developmental and light line-editing. Writers receive in-text commentary on their manuscript as well as a short editorial note.
Investment:
​1-2 working weeks. $6.50 per page. Accelerated timelines might be available, subject to an increased reading fee.

This service is designed for writers with a completed narrative prose manuscript who are seeking comprehensive developmental feedback. A manuscript evaluation examines all aspects of craft—including plot, character development, dialogue, structure, pacing, and more—to help you strengthen your work and move confidently toward the next stage of revision.
You'll receive detailed in-text commentary throughout your manuscript, plus a thorough editorial report that identifies key issues and provides actionable suggestions for revision. An optional call is available to discuss the evaluation and answer any questions.
