manuscript evaluations

In addition to coaching services and programs, Alissa offers editorial manuscript reviews on a limited basis. Alissa's editorial approach is developmental, with light copy-editing as needed to help with clarity and flow.
Manuscript evaluations include in-text commentary and an editorial note.

If you are interested in a manuscript review, please contact Alissa here to share details of your project.

Short Manuscript Evaluation
These evaluations are for writers of shorter manuscripts (up to 20 pages) which require developmental and light line-editing. Writers receive in-text commentary on their manuscript as well as a short editorial note.
Investment:
1-2 working weeks. $6.50 per page. Accelerated timelines might be available, subject to an increased reading fee.

 Book-Length Manuscript Evaluation
This service is available for writers who have a full narrative prose manuscript completed and wish to have a developmental manuscript evaluation. This evaluation looks at all aspects of craft (ex. plot, dialogue, structure, etc.) and helps writers to move their manuscript forward. Writers receive in-text commentary, an editorial report outlining all issues found, as well as suggestions for revisions. A debriefing call can be added to discuss the evaluation at the writer's request.
Timelines and fees for manuscript evaluations are project dependent. Please reach out to discuss if you’re interested in this type of evaluation.
