Publication Paths Coaching Call
This service is for fiction and narrative writers who are ready to publish and want to talk about their options.
The service includes:
- Two specialized client questionnaires to hone in on what matters most to you in publishing
- One submission of the first ten pages of your manuscript with light in-text commentary to make sure they are polish and publication-ready
- One 60-minute coaching call to go over your options and brainstorm your publishing path forward.
Investment: 1-2 working weeks. $250.
Preparing to Pitch Program
Who this program works best for:
The Preparing to Pitch Program is designed for fiction and narrative memoir writers who want to pursue traditional (agented or small press) or hybrid publishing. To participate, you’ll need a complete manuscript that has already been revised at least once, by you or someone else.
What you’ll accomplish:
- Develop your complete pitch package: Query, Synopsis and polished opening pages (10-15 pages)
- Understand what work your manuscript might need to attract positive attention
- Explore the book marketplace to best position your project
- Hone in on what sort of agents, presses or publishers are most aligned with your goals
- Curate a list of up to 30 agents/presses/publishers where you’ll submit your work
- Create a personalized Pitch Strategy Plan on how to query
- Learn about the publishing process so you’re informed about how things work
- Receive support as you go through this process
This program includes:
- Submission deadlines throughout the program to keep you on track
- One Client Questionnaire
- One Agent/Press/ Publisher Preferences Questionnaire
- One manuscript read-through. This read-through is not an evaluation or an edit. It does not include in-text commentary. It is designed to help identify red flags could potentially turn agents/presses/publishers away.*
- One developmental edit of the first 10 manuscript pages
- Query letter drafting with 1 round of revision (includes in text-commentary and editorial note)**
- Synopsis drafting with 1 round of revision (includes in-text commentary and editorial note)**
- One spreadsheet of curated agents/presses/publishers who are suitable to submit your project to. The spreadsheet will contain between 10 to 30 options.
- Four 45-minute coaching calls occurring at intervals throughout the program:
Call 2: we’ll discuss your Query and Synopsis
Call 3: we’ll discuss your Curated Spreadsheet and create your Pitch Strategy Plan
Call 4: we’ll check in once after you begin querying to see how everything is going
- 90 days of email support as you begin to submit your manuscript***
**Additional rounds of revision on the query or synopsis can be purchased for $75.
***Additional blocks of email support can be added on for $100 per 30-day period.

This program takes 8-16 working weeks to prepare your pitch package materials to pitch, plus 90 days of email support once you start querying. $2600.
